In a Word - Fear
I recently wrote about fear, as a driving force, becomes a problem for people. I stand by that.
Someone wrote to me and suggested I was out of line in mentioning fear in this manner. He probably has not read some of my
previous articles on fear. So, I am going to talk with you a little today about fear. It can stop you dead in your tracks. It can cause you to to take steps that are illogical and without reason. It will inhibit your growth to be the better person you want to be, and yes, everyone fears something.
If you should suggest that people should be sheltered from the word, then that exhibits the fear of fear - a known phobia,
called "phobophobia".
I believe this to be true, and some would disagree with me. Everyone fears something. a person could fear spiders or snakes, or the color green. Some people fear the lack of recognition, thus they are compelled to seek a mountain of accolades or their 5 minutes of fame. Whatever your fear is, you own it. It is yours, and it is highly personal - for
you.
The advantage that I propose for people that want to decrease the debilitating effects of fear is massive doses of information around whatever that fear is and represents to you. This article can be quite confronting to some people.
Without further delay, I would like to introduce you to my all-time favorite article about fear. Take a walk on the wild side, with
