Define Independence and Freedom?
Like so many other issues I raise, I would like you to take a moment and
give this question some thought. The two words often go hand in hand, but they do not mean the same thing. Both of these words will mean something personal to you. Another person will have a different definition of both.
What that means is that you have developed a personal relationship, or ownership of what those two words mean to you.
Some people will say, "Shannon, you are speaking in political terms." I reply, "No, I am
speaking about each person. Within each person is the birthplace and presence of these personalised ideals; the ideals that are held dear."
Are you there yet? Are you living in what you have defined as Independence and Freedom. If not, what are you willing to do to get there?
Remember, when you do not actively take steps to secure your freedom and independence it will begin to decay. Acquiescence erodes your
Independence and freedom right out from under you - both as a person and as a society.
If you do not want your Independence and freedom to erode any further, you must make a stand. Gather your wisdom and strength to gain your footing and win your battles.
I wish you well in your struggle.
